Arts alive in madison park

September 15, 2009

shapeimage_2Madison Park is one of those wonderful places in Seattle that has changed very little over the last few years. Red Apple is still on the corner, Tinas still manages to pack her place with fabrics to the roof, Lola still has everything imaginable in her hardware store. But this month a BIG change came to life in the form of artistic magic. Overnight storefronts were transformed into artistic perfection and the streets lit up as if a new holiday had been invented. Its called MadArt and the mission is to support emerging artists in our community, to bring art into our lives in unexpected ways, and to create community involvement in the arts. Boy did they accomplish this goal! Take a walk on the wild side and head to Madison Park for a little bite of art in your community. Yummy!
