Brave(rn) new world of dining

Artisanal_Table._0There’s a new game in town and its the mini olympics of good eating. The Bravern has brought stylish eating to new heights with John Howie Steakhouse from the same folks that brought us Seastar, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus, Wild Ginger and Artisanal. Lala will break down the good, the bad and the oh so delish.

Here are the foods not to miss:

John Howie Steakhouse: A confident menu and a stunning dining room make meals a welcome calm from the outside doldrums of typical Seattle. Don’t miss the bacon tempura (yes, really they have it), and any burger on the menu. Juicy, tasty happiness in each bite. Do skip the long wait and ask for your food to be brought out ASAP.

Mariposa: Simple shopping fare with beautiful presentation. Popovers are not to miss!

Wild Ginger: Always great food that lifts your spirits. Fragrant duck, seven flavored beed and laksa soup are a must. Giant wooden doors and walls imported from Indonesia highlight the impressive decor. Rick Yoder has done it again I dare say!

Artisanal: This ain’t New York but we give it a good try. Artisanal from chef Terrance Brennan serves the freshest mozzarella. Do pair wine and cheese at the bar au fromage. Don’t pretend you have a New York attitude just because you have a reservation. These guys are here for the longhaul.
