Yesterday we discussed Kristen’s life aquatic in Proenza Schouler — I’m surprised more of you didn’t love it. I thought it was youthful and unique. The Luna Nueva star stopped in Madrid in her favorite vampy color. Black. But she mixed her sheer top, black-bustier Elizabeth and James mini dress with blood-red pumps. Girl’s got some stems, albeit pale ones, but that’s the way Edward likes them. Do you like?

Jason Wu Takes on Tse

There’s more reason to love Wu now that the designer has taken on a new project: designing a capsule collection for Tse. “When she [Tse's CEO, Christina Peng-Gerschultz] asked me if I wanted to do a capsule [line], I thought, ‘This could be interesting,’” said Wu. “In many ways, I am probably the least expected designer to do this, because Tse’s aesthetic is so different from my own, but that’s one reason I wanted to do it.”
The collection will be comprised of woven and knitwear pieces dipped in colorful hues. Tse, who currently works with Wu on producing his knitwear pieces, will debut the Fall ‘10 limited-edition capsule collection in February during New York Fashion Week. Prices are TBD, but we do know the line will hit Tse stores in July.

Sienna Miller’s Topshop faux fur coat looked amazing on her (as does Anja Rubik’s, left), but it reminded me that faux fur coats often overpower. A while back I bought one, a faux rabbit, and now I know why I haven’t given it much wear — it makes me feel gaudy. Thanks to the cold weather recently, it hit me: I couldn’t just let that gorgeous brown faux fur sit there, alone. I took matters into my own hands — or rather, gave the matter to my tailor and let her work her magic.

Sneak Peek! Ann Taylor, Fall ‘09
Ann Taylor has really stepped it up these days. The retailer adopted a more trend-conscious aesthetic and it recently hired Heidi Klum to be its cashmere model! I’m quite impressed by its Fall collection. There is a look for every girl and the styling has been executed flawlessly. Casual denim, puffer jackets, coats, and wow-worthy red dresses and skirts are all must haves. I’m thinking this Wool Bow Coat ($295) needs to come home with me. Proceed to shop my favorite looks.

Power Couple: Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy
Clearly, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, who have been together since 2005, are all about having fun — who else would wear his girlfriend’s swimsuit? You can see their sheer bliss in their smiles and complementary clothing. For red carpet appearances, the two play the roles of Hollywood hotties with slick suits for Jim and sexy frocks for Jenny. And when they’re not on tropical beach vacay, Jim lives in his jeans and boots during off-time. Jenny prefers to keep it sassy in fierce footwear and stylish separates. I love their non-serious, unpretentious ways. And, their autism advocacy is pretty kick-ass. One day, I hope to have a love just as great. For now, let’s take a look at their cuteness.

BarbroAndersen said it herself: she looks simple and comfortable. This layered lass is spot-on, head to toe. Speaking of head, lovin’ that hat. It adds romance to an otherwise badass look. The thigh-high socks add further protection from the cold, while her lace-up boots help her trek the terrain.
