On Saturday, July 17, 2010, the first annual “Largest gathering of people with natural red hair” will happen in Sammamish, Washington. As a redhead myself I can only imagine the amount of sunscreen needed to keep this fair skin group cancer free! Oh, and it’s gonna be downright fabulous. The gathering is the idea of amazing local photographer Anne Lindsay. Note to all you beautiful redheads, Anne is in search of every variety of natural redheads for her upcoming book, Redheads and More Redheads.
In her research for her upcoming book, Lindsay has become an expert on the subject. Lindsay will share the history of how redheads were once considered witches and burned at the stake and debunk the myth that redheads are going extinct, etc. nope, we are not extinct, just a rare beautiful breed.
