Take the family, play Robinson and hunker down on your own island reserve. Rent the whole island or just a villa, get married (again) or just take a nap on endless beaches. They even have a kids week when kids 8 and under are free. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

She made it her quest wherever we traveled to invade the kitchens of the best chefs of the world and take home amazing recipes. Home we came with tarte tatin from Paris, chocolate souffles, delicate Italian Pasta dishes and few not so savory for the kids dishes such as liver and onions. Those were the days long before internet and certainly long before I would learn how to use the internet for cooking. When there are too many cooks in the kitchen there is hardly room for a cookbook on the counter. I head to some of my favorite websites to gather recipes and ideas. Here are the top lala stops:

1) All Recipes- Just like the title says. And the review system is pretty spot on

2) Recipe Source-Less user friendly and “pretty” but love the browse by region concept

3) Epicurious-Definitely lives up to its reputation for being a site for people who love to eat…and eat well. How could it not be fabulous if its all about Conde Nast

4) IChef-TV Cooking videos are a major bonus

5) International Recipes-You may not be able to find the ingredients but if you can, the results are SO worth it.

6) Betty Crocker- You know the brand, get to to know the website.

Little Lala-Cafe zoom has delish snacks and easy stuff for kids and parent to make. Plus it’s PBS….what could be wrong with that?
